Case Study Challenge
Challenge: Unstable spray flow rate led to inconsistent paint film thickness. Existing automated spraying solutions were only semi-automatic. The chassis, being a complex, irregularly shaped workpiece with internal radius corners, required manual repainting, hindering both production capacity and yield.
Solution: The solution combined ProMix PD2K+ProBell with a spraying robot. Precise spray flow control and a volumetric electronic dispensing system ensured consistent paint film thickness. ProBell's unique fine spraying method achieved a high first-pass yield, eliminating the need for manual repainting and presenting process control data digitally on-site.
Results: The customer integrated PD2K's rapid color change and automatic cleaning into their existing production process, enabling flexible online order scheduling and significantly reducing downtime and paint waste.
