This spraying application case demonstrates the automated spraying of high-viscosity water-based silver powder paint on plastic parts. A pneumatic booster diaphragm pump delivers the paint, which is then carried by an automatic air spray gun. A pneumatic agitator stirs the paint to prevent sedimentation, resulting in fast and uniform spraying. This reduces paint waste, alleviates environmental pressure, increases production capacity, and achieves excellent coating quality and extremely high coating efficiency.

High viscosity of silver paint can cause orange peel effect, while low viscosity can cause sagging. Silver powder tends to settle, so it needs to be stirred at low speed for 5-10 minutes, then filtered through a 120-200 mesh filter (to remove clumps of silver powder or impurities). The prepared paint should be used within 2 hours. If spraying is paused, it must be stirred again to prevent silver powder settling and stratification.
The paint is stably delivered using a German Timmer 1065 pneumatic diaphragm pump, and uniformly stirred using a Longcheng pneumatic mixer. It is then used with an Iwata WA-M220 automatic spray gun for spraying plastic workpieces.
The paint produces a uniform, smooth coating that is durable and saves paint, effectively reducing material costs and complying with environmental policies.
